Partnering with NSW Ambulance and ACT Aeromedical Service since 2017, Toll Ambulance Rescue delivers rapid, life-saving support across Southern NSW and ACT.
From complex rescues in canyons and waterways to critical interhospital transfers for adults and children, our highly skilled teams and advanced technology ensures patients receive the urgent care they need, wherever they are.
The service transports critically ill patients between hospitals and provides vital newborn and paediatric emergency transport. Most flights carry a critical care helicopter doctor and paramedic, substituted by a specialist doctor and nurse for the interhospital transfer of neonates and small children.
The service maintains an impressive average response time of under 10 minutes during the day and under 20 minutes at night.
An integrated standardised model has enabled Toll and NSW Ambulance staff to train together, maintain clinical, operational and aviation currencies together and move between bases to ensure service delivery. With a deeply complex range of missions, the entire team benefits from an integrated and holistic approach, allowing us to maximise missions and provide increased support for patients.
